Ideas To Explore Your Creativity When You Don't Know Where To Begin
Some of us shy away from creative projects because we don't consider ourselves inherently "artistic."
However, creativity spans so many different areas of our lives! And just because you may not be an expert at something doesn't mean you can't enjoy it!
Tapping into our creativity allows us to explore our emotions, learn new skills, and discover more about ourselves!
Here are a few ways you can explore creativity — even when you're not sure how to start:
- Consume materials from other creatives: Reading, writing, watching movies, and more are all great ways to spark your creative ideas!
- Take pictures: Taking photos — even of things that are a part of your daily routine — is a great way to look at things from a different angle.
- Create a vision board: Think about what inspires you and a few goals you have. Then, whether digitally or physically — find photos, words, or representations of that, and put them together into a vision board!
- Get crafty: If you are interested in painting or another medium but don't know where to begin, don't overthink it, and don't set rules for yourself! Classes are a great way to introduce yourself to something new. Or you could try a kit like a paint-by-number to lessen the pressure of finding out what to paint!
