Try These Yoga Stretches To Help Your Lower Back
Whether you suffer from lower back pain or have a desk job and feel like it's compressed by the end of the day, stretches can bring some relief.

Here are a few movements you can try:
  • Ragdoll: From standing, bend over and allow your front body to naturally fall forward as far as is comfortable. Grab each elbow in the opposite hand above your head. If it feels comfortable, you can gently sway your upper torso from side to side for some gentle movement.
  • Downward dog: Gently kneel to the ground and place your palms parallel with your shoulders. Place the balls of your feet on the ground, lift your heels, and extend your legs so they are straight (or as much as is comfortable). Slowly move your hands to be slightly in front of your head. Your body should be making an upside-down "V" shape.
  • Child's pose: Kneel on the ground, and while you place your hands in front of you, gently shift your weight so your hips fall behind your knees. Slowly lower your head to the floor, stretching your arms in front of you, and move your knees so they are slightly on either side of your hips. Hold and breathe deeply, feeling the stretch in your back.
